Craig Manning

Craig Manning was introduced in the season two two parter, When Doves Cry. He is introduced as a troubled boy Emma develops a crush on and it is revealed that his father beats him and he has an uneasy relationship with his step father, Joey Jeremiah. In the end of the two parter, Craig admits to his father's abuse and wants to live with his step father and five year old half sister, Angela.

Craig is into photography and music, the latter sticking with him. He starts a school band, Downtown Sasquatch. He's popular, charming and funny. He attracts girls--Ashley Kerwin and Manny Santos, and in the begining seems to like Manny. They even go on a date together (Take my Breath Away, season 2) but Craig feels Manny is too immature for him.

In the third season, Craig is caught up in a love affair when Ashley won't go farther than he wants. The end result is both girls dumping him and Manny becoming pregnant and deciding on an abortion. Craig later on discovers he is bi-polar and needs to take medication to stay healthy.

In the fifth season his girlfriend has broken up with him via email and he takes interest in Manny Santos once again. They stay in a relationship together for most of the fifth and sixth season. Craig gets an offer in the sixth season he can't refuse; he's going to Vancouver to record music. Craig follows his dreams and returns in time to see his class graduate...harboring a secret; he's addicted to Coke. So deep in his addiction, Craig won't even say no to drugs to keep Manny in his life. They break up, and Craig uses his best friend Ellie, who has developed feelings for him.

In the Degrassi Goes Hollywood movie, both Manny and Craig have storylines, though they don't collide. Craig makes up to Ellie for using her in the past, and it's a "moment too late" for them, because they go on their own lifes. So far Manny and Craig have yet to have another scene...but us fans are hopeful for some closure, at least!
